The Difference Between a Notary Public and a Notary Signing Agent:

All Signing Agents are Notaries and not all Notaries are Signing Agents; it’s like how all circles are shapes, but not all shapes are circles. For to become a Signing Agent I must be a commissioned notary public for the State of California. Only then I may apply for the extra certification. A Signing Agent is another level of certification on top of my notary public one; it allows me to assist you with loan document paperwork and signings-- Signing Agents are prominent in the mortgage industry.

Notary service is required for a wide range of document signing and all documents are considered separate documents:

Remember that per signature means per signer, per document. So two (2) signers on the same document is two (2) signatures, and it is NOT how many times the notary is required to sign or stamp.
